The Decatur Municipal Airport(LUD) is located approximately one mile
north of the City's Historical Square. The airport has a 4,200' by 60' non-precision runway with medium intensity runway
lighting with plans for future expansion. The airfield also has a lighted windsock, rotating beacon, and a PAPI-2 approach
system for runway 17. A "Pilot Friendly" Terminal Building will be the first impression many business and pleasure guests
will have of the city.
The airport is now home to many aircraft and diverse aviation businesses. Some of these include :
Decatur Jet Center - a fixed-based operator who offers 100LL and Jet-A fuels, a flight school, and pilot supplies.
United Rotorcraft Solutions - Bell Helicopter repair station and night vision package installations.
Clearview Aviation - offers short and long-term aircraft housing for most sized aircraft.
Wayne's Aircraft Service - engine and airframe maintenance plus air tours of North Texas.
Alamo Aerospace - a engineering company that is focused on the development and FAA certification of improvements to general
aviation aircraft and products.
The Hangar Aviation Shop - offering airline and aircraft memorabilia and collectibles as well as a wide variety of pilot supplies
not available anywhere else on the airport.
Wise Technology Solutions - a computer and web service provider offering computer repair and upgrade services as well as web-site
development, maintenance and hosting.
